IMS-2026 Boston MA

The 2026 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2026), held from June 7–12 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention &Exhibition Center in Boston, marked a major evolution for the premier global event in RF and microwave engineering.

Bringing together over 8,000 attendees and more than 500 exhibiting companies from around the globe, IMS 2026 highlighted groundbreaking advancements in millimeter-wave, terahertz, modeling, quantum bootcamps, and next-generation test and measurement paradigms.

My involvement at IMS 2026 spanned a diverse mix of technical leadership, committee work, and industry representation:

1) Student Design Competition (SDC-2) Organizer: Serving the next generation of microwave engineers, I took on the responsibility of organizing Student Design Competition 2, SDC2 RF Bias Tee Design for Active Baseband Load-pull Applications. We had an incredibly talented, international lineup with six student teams joining us from Turkiye, Korea, Germany, Hong Kong, and USA. Thank you to all the teams for making this one of the most competitive tracks yet. Every single group brought outstanding designs to the table, making the judging process incredibly difficult, I truly wish we could have given awards to everyone. A huge thank you to the MTT-S The Microwave Measurement Technical Committee, IEEE Foothill Section, Keysight Technologies, and Maury Microwave for their support in making this happen.

2) MTT-S Technical Committee Engagement TC-3: I am a selected member of the The Microwave Measurement Technical Committee. I participated in the official meeting and presented my activities in 2025: Student Design Competition at APMC-2025, Workshop at APMC-2025.

3) MTT-S Chapter Chairs Meeting: I represented our section at the meeting. We met different chapters and discussed about the future events, student participation, budget, etc.

4) Industry &Exhibition Floor Engagement: Beyond administrative and technical committee roles for IEEE, I spent dedicated time on booth duty during the exhibition hours. Engaging directly with the commercial heart of the conference, I demonstrated cutting-edge large measurement solutions (Vector load-pull setup wıth new generation electromechanical tuners and Pulsed DC-IV) and networked with engineers, researchers, and partners exploring advanced instrumentation.
